Basic Usage

gobuster dir -u https://target.com -w wordlist.txt

Search File Types

gobuster dir -u https://target.com -w wordlist.txt -x php,html

Speed Control

Use 50 threads:

gobuster dir -u https://target.com -w wordlist.txt -t 50

Key Flags

  • -k – Skip SSL verification
  • -o – Save output to file
  • -q – Quiet mode

Wordlist Recommendations

  • /usr/share/wordlists/dirb/common.txt – Quick scans
  • /usr/share/wordlists/dirbuster/directory-list-2.3-medium.txt – Thorough

Bottom Line

Start small with common.txt. Move to bigger lists if needed.
