This policy explains what information AceFortis (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit acefortis.com, and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) and Jetpack Stats to understand which pages are read. These services collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, and may set cookies.
- Comments. If you leave a comment we store the name, email address and comment you submit, plus your IP address and browser user agent. Comments are checked by Akismet, an automated spam-detection service.
- Contact form and email. If you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you send, and use them only to reply.
- Accounts. If you register, we store your username and email address so you can log in, bookmark articles and customise interests.
- Server logs and security. Our hosting and security tools record IP addresses and request data to protect the site against abuse.
Cookies
Cookies are used for login sessions, remembering preferences such as dark mode, and analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but some features (such as staying logged in) will not.
Third parties
We do not sell your personal information. Data is processed by the services named above (Google, Automattic/Jetpack/Akismet and our hosting provider) under their own privacy policies. Articles may link to or embed content from other websites, which behave as if you had visited those sites directly.
How long we keep data
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@acefortis.com. This does not include data we are required to keep for legal or security purposes.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest revision.
